The landowner’s vision for Wentworth Point is to create a sustainable local community with an active town centre and easy access to public transport.

Bennelong Bridge is the critical step in connecting Wentworth Point with Sydney's public transport network. The bridge dramatically improves access from Wentworth Point to the city's rail and bus networks and completes an important connection in the future cycle and pedestrian walk around the foreshore of Homebush Bay.

Plans for Wentworth Point also include a town centre with local shops, cafes, and restaurants, together with community facilities such as, a childcare centre and a library to meet the needs of the people who live and work in the surrounding neighbourhoods.

When complete, Wentworth Point will include several hectares of public open space, including parks, playgrounds and picnic areas. A centrepiece of these plans is a large central park next to Bennelong Bay Bridge and a further large park at the northern tip of the peninsula.

To support future growth, the NSW Government is building a local primary school at Wentworth Point on Burroway Road adjacent to the town centre, expected to open in 2017.
